FinFuse
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FinFuse collects when you use finfuse.com and app.finfuse.com (together, the “Service”), how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. FinFuse does not sell your personal information.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by FinFuse LLC (“FinFuse,” “we,” “us”), a Missouri limited liability company. You can reach us through our contact page.
2. Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address, an optional name, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash. We also record when you agreed to our Terms and this Privacy Policy when you created your account, and which version you saw.
- Your numbers. What you choose to enter: account balances, paycheck details, bills, plans, spending by part of life, memberships and how often you use them, and your settings, including your chosen scene. Round numbers are fine; nothing requires exact figures.
- Your questions. The text you type into “What would you like to do?”
- Membership activity. If you hold a Paper, Predict or Print membership: the positions, predictions and locks you record in those products.
- Bank connection, if you choose to link one. A connection token (stored encrypted), the bank’s name, a connection id, and a record of when you agreed to the connection. See Plaid: your bank connection.
- Investing account, if you open one. The identity details you type to open it go straight to our brokerage partner and are not stored by FinFuse. See Alpaca: your investing account.
3. Information collected automatically
- Cookies. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and, if you signed in with Whop, a Whop session cookie. FinFuse sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Browser storage. A few display preferences, such as your chosen scene before you sign in, are kept in your own browser’s storage and are not sent to us. Your numbers are kept with your account.
- Network information. Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated requests and sign-in attempts, and appears in the standard request logs kept by our hosting provider.
4. How we use information
- To provide the Service: to calculate what is free, set aside and on track from the numbers you enter, and to show them back to you.
- To keep your account secure and to operate sign-in, sessions and password resets.
- To answer questions typed into the Service by choosing which answers to open.
- To provide memberships you have bought and to confirm your access to them.
- To comply with law and to protect FinFuse and its users.
5. Questions and the language model
When you ask FinFuse something, your question and the names of your plans are sent to a third-party language model service, which only chooses which answers to open. Your balances and other figures are never sent. Every figure you see is calculated by FinFuse from your own numbers. FinFuse does not store the text of your questions.
6. Plaid: your bank connection
Connecting a bank is optional. If you choose to, the connection is made by Plaid Technologies, Inc. (“Plaid”). You pick your bank and sign in inside Plaid’s window. FinFuse never sees or stores your bank username or password. Before the window opens, FinFuse shows you what it will access and asks you to agree, and we record when you agreed and which version of those words you saw.
- What is shared with FinFuse. Plaid gives FinFuse a token that lets us ask Plaid about the accounts you chose. We store that token encrypted, together with the bank’s name and a connection id. FinFuse tells Plaid an internal account identifier for you, not your email address.
- What FinFuse reads. Only what the features in use need. Today that is the name, last four digits, type and balance of each account you chose. Balances are read from Plaid each time they are shown and are not kept. If you press “Use its balances,” those figures are copied into your saved numbers and kept with them until you change or delete them.
- What FinFuse asks permission for but does not use yet. Linking asks Plaid for permission to read up to 180 days of transactions, so that paydays and bills can be suggested later. FinFuse does not read or store your transactions today. Before it does, we will update this policy and ask you to agree again.
- Funding an investing account. If you open an investing account and ask to move money into it, FinFuse uses your linked checking account. It gives our brokerage partner a one-time Plaid token for that account. FinFuse does not receive your account and routing numbers.
- What Plaid does with your data. Plaid handles the data it collects from you and your bank under its own policy, the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You can also see and manage the connections Plaid holds for you at my.plaid.com.
- How to disconnect. Press Unlink where you linked your bank (Your numbers), or delete your account in Settings. Either one tells Plaid to remove the connection and deletes the stored token from FinFuse. Unlinking does not delete your saved numbers.
7. Alpaca: your investing account
Opening an investing account is optional. The account is opened and held by our brokerage partner, Alpaca Securities LLC (“Alpaca”), not by FinFuse. To open it you type your legal name, date of birth, address, phone number and taxpayer ID into FinFuse, which passes them directly to Alpaca so it can verify your identity. FinFuse does not store or log them. What FinFuse keeps is the account id Alpaca gave your account, and, if you fund it from a linked bank, the id of that transfer relationship.
FinFuse reads your balances, holdings and order history from Alpaca each time they are shown, and sends Alpaca the orders you place. Alpaca keeps its own records as a broker and handles your information under its own terms and privacy policy, which you are asked to accept when you open the account.
9. How long information is kept
Account details and the numbers you save are kept until you delete them or delete your account. A bank connection’s token, bank name and connection id are kept until you unlink the bank or delete your account. Your record of agreeing to a bank connection is kept until you delete your account. Numbers kept only in your browser remain there until you clear them. Sessions expire after 30 days, and password reset links after one hour.
When you delete your account, FinFuse tells Plaid to remove your bank connection and then deletes your account and the data tied to it. The full rule, including what other companies keep, is in our Data retention and deletion policy.
10. Your choices and rights
- Access and export. Download everything you have entered from Settings.
- Correction. Edit your numbers and name at any time.
- Withdraw a bank connection. Unlink your bank at any time from Your numbers.
- Deletion. Delete your numbers, or your whole account, from Settings. Deleting your account also removes your bank connection at Plaid. If you cannot use Settings, contact us through our contact page.
11. Security
We protect information with the measures described on our Security page. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and where changes are significant we will give notice in the Service.
